Residential Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems are widely used to provide safe-to-drink water for families and light-commercial applications. As the main filtration stage of the RO system, MS RO membrane elements deliver consistent performance with advanced membrane technology and automated spiral-wound fabrication.
These MS RO membrane elements, certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 58, feature a high permeated flow while maintaining a 99% TDS removal rate and a stabilized salt rejection rate of 97%. They can efficiently remove a wide range of contaminants, including heavy metals (fluoride, calcium, magnesium, lead, colloids, chromium, and nitrates), organic materials, harmful minerals, and other soluble salts.
With a universal size of 11.75 x 1.75 inches, the MS RO membrane fits most 10-inch industry-standard RO systems. It is compatible with a wide range of RO systems, including models from APEC Water, Express Water, H2O Splash, Home Master, iSpring, and more. However, it is not compatible with systems that have specific RO housing designs, such as Culligan, EcoWater, GE, Microline, Pen-tek, Rainsoft, Watts Premier, and Whirlpool.
The MS RO membrane element, shipped dry in an original sealed package, has a life expectancy of 24 to 36 months, depending on the average feedwater quality, temperature, and incoming water pressure. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to rinse the element for 24 hours prior to first use and discard the initial full tank of permeate. The membrane shows some resistance to short-term chlorine (hypochlorite) exposure, but continuous exposure should be avoided.
